NRG Fuel TTP - The Science Behind The Product
- Protein: There can be no doubts that this is by far the most important supplement for any fitness routine and the fact that it is the main ingredient in TTP is no error. Protein is essential for muscle building and recovery. Whey protein is the fastest way to get the protein and all the amino acids it contains into your system.
- Dextrose: This is also known as Glucose and is the main form of sugar created by the body. This form of sugar is quickly available as energy to help replenish your reserves during training. This will aid recovery time and will also ensure that the energy the body is lacking is not taken from the muscles. When used before training it has the effect of giving you a sugar rush, increasing your short term energy levels and thereby giving you a bit more energy for your workout.
- Creatine Ethyl Ester: It has been shown that creatine has a number of beneficial effects when training. These include increased energy through the production of creatine phosphate, enhanced protein synthesis and also buffering lactic acid build-up. Creatine Ethyl Ester makes this process much faster. By bonding the creatine molecule to an ester molecule it enables the creatine to utilise fat tissues as a more efficient means of transportation to the muscle structure. This basically means that all the benefits of creatine are felt much faster, both in the workout intensity and also in the protein uptake during your recovery phase.
- Arginine AKG (Alpha-Ketoglutarate): AAKG has been shown to increase Nitric Oxide production which enhances blood flow. This has the effect of increasing delivery rates of oxygen and nutrients to the muscle tissues. AAKG also has an effect on protein levels in the muscle structure although it is unclear if this is due to increased synthesis or decreased breakdown. Which ever method, it seems clear that muscle protein levels are greatly aided by this product. AAKG has also been shown to promote the secretion of anabolic hormone and increase amino acid metabolism which may help to explain why it works so well with the other ingredients of TTP.
- Glutamine AKG (Alpha-Ketoglutarate): Glutamine is a very important amino acid and is responsible for much of the body’s immune system function. Research has also shown that up to 50% of the glutamine in the body can be used during training so it is vital that is replaced. Glutamine AKG is a much more efficient way of delivering glutamine to the system. The bonding of glutamine to AKG means it can utilise fat cells to transport the molecule to where it is needed much faster. Glutamine helps prevent muscle wastage that can occur after training because the body no longer needs to take the glutamine it needs for recovery directly from the muscle structure.
